Mirjana has PhD in developmental and pedagogical psychology at South West University “Neofit Rilski” Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria. Her Master degree is in Clinical Psychology at International Slavic University “, Sv. Nikole, RN Macedonia.
Mirjana started studying psychology in Moscow, Russia and finished her studies in Skopje, at UKIM, Republic of North Macedonia.
She is an assistant professor at the Faculty of Psychology at MIT University in Skopje, where she teaches psychodrama at the Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology. This is the first form of psychotherapy to be taught in North Macedonia as part of formal education.
Mirjana’s psychodrama training was completed in 2004 at Institute for Psychodrama Jacob Moreno – Skopje. She is a gestalt therapist member of EAGT, as well as a certified supervisor from Gestalt Center in London.
She is a supervisor at several Gestalt institutes.
Mirjana is an author of a number of papers published in international journals, in the fields of psychology, psychotherapy, psychodrama and gestalt. She has held numerous workshops at international congresses.
Starting 2016, she is a President of the Chamber of Psychology in Republic of North Macedonia. Mirjana is an initiator and is actively participating in many domestic and foreign projects for raising awareness of the importance to enhance the mental and emotional health, and fight with stigma towards mental health.
She is founder, main coach and a supervisor of the psychodrama school AMIGDALA (2006). Additionally, she is a founder of the cabinet for psychotherapy, counseling and psycho diagnosis – “Here and now” (2004), where she also holds her private practice. In her psychotherapeutic work, she is clinically oriented and her fields of work are: panic attacks, phobias, anxious-depressive syndrome, trauma, PTSD, anorexia and bulimia, working with LGBT population, couple therapy and family therapy.
Ever since the new contract with the Ministry of Health and the Clinic of Radiology and Oncology in the past year, she prepared a project and is actively involved in providing psychological help to the patients with cancer.
